JSC “Slavneft-YANOS” is improving the program of targeted personnel training for the enterprise. The base university involved in this work is Yaroslavl State Technical University. Since 2009, students of the 3rd and 4th courses of key specialties for the oil refining industry, with the participation of the company, receive additional training in target training groups. Since then, 58 graduates of the YSTU target groups have joined the plant team.

In 2019, cooperation between the university and JSC “Slavneft-YANOS” will be significantly expanded. In the framework of the Cooperation Agreement with the Government of the Yaroslavl Region, the enterprise will send funds to strengthen the material and technical base of the university, and to organize modern educational laboratories.

Thus, it is planned to create a computer-training class with modern software, which allows to simulate the existing process control systems at JSC “Slavneft-YANOS”, an educational audience with demonstration stands and mock-ups for studying equipment and technologies used in the production; as well as a chemical laboratory equipped with instruments for studying the properties of petroleum products.

New training equipment will allow students to better adapt in an environment close to the actual production, and the company will receive young professionals with higher qualifications.

“We intend to radically change the quality of personnel training for our Refinery, said Nikolai Karpov, General Director of JSC “Slavneft-YANOS”. - The educational process will be maximally connected with the solving of specific process problems. This is the main goal of our new joint project with Yaroslavl State Technical University”.

“JSC “Slavneft-YANOS” is a strategic partner of the YSTU in training specialists for the petrochemical industry, says YSTU Deputy Rector Elena Stepanova. - Cooperation with the Refinery allows not only to increase the level of young professionals, but also to strengthen the integration of educational and scientific programs into a practical environment
