YANOS improves environmental safety of production

11
The Slavneft-YANOS Refinery has completed the first stage of modernization of the bitumen loading and storage system - three new racks for loading bitumen into vehicles have been built, 15 storage tanks are equipped with a vapor collection and utilization system. The implemented measures made it possible to completely exclude contact of bitumen vapors with atmospheric air which will further reduce the impact of production on the environment.
In addition, the level of industrial safety has increased due to the improvement of the process control system which allows you to remotely monitor the parameters of bitumen loading and, if necessary, correct and stop it. To protect workers from the risk of falling from a height, all overpasses are equipped with stationary fences.
The modernization of the bitumen loading system is carried out taking into account the peculiarities of the enterprise's logistics scheme as well as using the best available processes in the industry.
After the completion of the second stage, the system for unloading bitumen into railway tanks will be modernized.
Slavneft-YANOS produces various grades of road, roofing and construction bitumen, the demand for which is constantly growing. In 2020, the volume of production of binders at the enterprise amounted to 475 thousand tons which is 6.5% higher than the same indicator of the previous period.
